+ Before storing your dress wrap it with acid-free tissue, which will protect it against any sharp creases, bodices or other curved areas of dress should be stuffed with the tissue paper to prevent it from creasing.
 
+ Do not use any metal clips, pins, safety pins or any such thing which have any possibility of rusting in future, because rust stains would be impossible to remove.
 
+ Do not store your dress in plastic bags, as they are petroleum based products. Plastic can break in future and leave out chemicals that may destroy your fabric or discolor it.
 
+ Storage place should be cool and dry. Do not store in damp or hot and humid places, storing such places may deteriorate the fabric of your dress and also discolor it. Protect it from sunlight and artificial light, as they cause degradation and fading of the textiles.
 
+ To prevent damage on fabric take care that you remove any fabric covered buttons, pins and pads and store them separately.
 
+ Check your gown regularly for any damage or deterioration.
